Orkla IT has an internal mobility policy that encourages employees to grow and develop within the company. The company offers interesting work tasks and projects, as well as the opportunity to travel and visit our factories around the world. These initiatives help to create a flexible and dynamic workforce that contributes to the company’s strategic goals.
We promote leadership and career development through a personal development plan, that manager and employee create together. The plan sets goals for the company, team, and employee and includes personal development goals to specific career development and learning. The plan is reviewed, evaluated, and followed up through frequent dialogue with the manager. The process allows for reflection of motivation and feedback between manager and employee.
Orkla IT offers courses for all employees in Agile Methodology and certifications within project management (PRINCE2) and IT framework (ITIL4). We also encourage other certifications, seminars, and courses. Strengthening our employees’ knowledge and expertise is important for us.
At Orkla, our employees are offered the opportunity to take award-winning leadership training programs. We also offer a range of academies and e-training programs created in collaboration with world-class providers such as the International Institute for Management Development (IMD).

We have an initiative called ‘Move IT,’ which focuses on activity, joy, and healthy competition. The aim of Move IT is to boost motivation and well-being, enhance interactions among colleagues within and across teams, and promote both mental and physical health through collective movement. At our Skøyen office, we have an in-house gym, and employees are entitled to one hour of paid leave per week for physical activity.
Orkla IT organizes various social gatherings, including the annual Orkla IT gathering, where topics such as sustainability, AI, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) have been on the agenda. Throughout the year, we host different social events to foster unity and enhance joy among our employees.

Flexi time: Orkla IT offers flexible working hours to our employees, with a core working period from 9am to 3pm to support production at our factories. This allows employees to balance their work and personal life while ensuring that the company’s operations run smoothly.
Work location: Orkla IT believes that the office location is the ideal place to work and create value, as it provides necessary tools, a well-suited working environment, and a social meeting place for our employees. We also recognize the benefits of working from home, such as increased flexibility and improved work-life balance, and offer this option to optimize employee efficiency. We provide ergonomic seating support for home office.
